Now, more than ever, Civil Engineers are required to build the various giant infrastructure projects on whose back the world is now run. From damming works to building skyscrapers to building roads and ports; every structure that is man-made requires a Civil Engineer. It has been so since the time of the pyramids about 4000 years ago and it will be true of any structure we erect 4000 years from now.

In the Digital and IT revolution we find ourselves in, the importance of Computer Engineering cannot be stated enough. The global IT industry is valued at around $ 3.7 trillion. And despite the size of the industry, it is still clocking a growth rate in excess of 4%. All the industries rely on IT for managing their inventories, for creating the software for their automated factories and sorting to storing and analyzing the vast amount of data we now generate, every human enterprise has IT embedded within its structure.

The department of Computer Science and Engineering is unique as far as its nomenclature is concerned, under the Solapur University. The department has a big computer center with 60 computers, along with an internet facility. The department is in the process of establishing and developing the required laboratories as per the curriculum of Solapur University. The students of Computer Science and Engineering can look forward to a great future in the software industry. Many national and multinational companies visit the campus for placements.

The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (ECE) has consistently maintained an exemplary academic record. The greatest asset of the department is it’s highly motivating and learned faculty. The available diversity of expertise of the faculty with the support of the other staff prepares the students to work in the global multicultural environment.

The Department not only aims to make our students technically sound and knowledgeable but also to nurture their wisdom and make them a better and responsible human being. These engineers are required in automobile, chemical, electronics, steel and fertilizer industries. Mechanical engineers also play a vital role in government sectors like ordnance factories, railways, steel plants, oil exploration and refining, technical wings of armed forces and space research. With the rapid rate of expansion in the industrial sector, the employment potential for mechanical engineers is very high.

Mechanical engineers also have a good scope to set up ancillary units of their own and design and manufacture assemblies and subassemblies required for large industries. In the agriculture sector, mechanical engineers play a vital role by establishing service centers for maintenance of tractors, oil engines, pump sets, electric motors and other agricultural equipment.
