Computer Science and Engineering

The Computer Science and Engineering department was started in the year 2017 with an intake of 60 B.Tech. Students.
The programs of the department are designed to create globally competent manpower for the IT Industry. The students are also trained to understand & implement the importance of Computer Technology in Railway sector across the globe. These twin objectives are accomplished by including an optimal mix of fundamental theory subjects and practical, current subjects in the scheme of study. The students will build specialist knowledge in the field of applied computer sciences with the flexibility to follow their interest through the choice of varied optional modules, courses and electives.
The department is kept abuzz with co-curricular and extracurricular activities of the various clubs driven by active student participation.
The department has set up 6 Computer Labs with highly configured machines. All the Labs are equipped with 24x7 Internet facility. Along with Windows and Linux, various advanced operating systems are available in the labs. The department has got highly qualified and well experienced teaching faculty.

Programming Laboratory

This Laboratory is used by B.Tech Student for carrying out Practical’s related to programming subjects. Lab is developed to boost students and faculties to enhance their knowledge regarding programming and development.

Hardware & Networking Laboratory

The main objective of the lab is to provide the students the knowledge of computer hardware, the processors, Networking, network topologies and installation of LANs. Another important objective is to impart knowledge about the troubleshooting and fault finding the computers and the peripherals.

Database Laboratory

The requirement of modern days is to have an automated system that manages, modifies and updates data accurately. This is achieved by a Database Management System (DBMS) in robust, correct and non redundant way. Through DBMS laboratory, students will get knowledge about the database environment and a way to manage data. Students are made familiar with Oracle Software. Students will also be trained to do certifications in Oracle and .Net Technologies.

Open Source Laboratory

Free Open Source Software lab is to familiarize students with the various Open source software like Linux, Network Simulators, Mysql, Eclipse and Glomosim. The students can understand the purpose of open source tools in real time application development.
