Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

The primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education, training and research at the undergraduate in various areas of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with broad emphasis on design aspects of electronic systems & Railway System. The department strives to train and empower our students who will make the world a better place by making use of engineering principles, techniques and systems. To that end, considerable initiatives have been taken to establish good laboratories in the areas of Electronics, Communication, Microwave, Digital Signal Processing, Microcomputer, Embedded and VLSI design & Railway Engineering with required hardware and simulation softwares.

Here, the students are provided with greater exposure in the core areas of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering as compared to the students admitted in a similar program at other institutes of the state. The students are also encouraged to participate in the technical activities apart from the regular curriculum. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department is well equipped with laboratories, qualified and dedicated faculties and staff

Basic Electrical and Electronics Lab

This Laboratory is used by F.Y.B.Tech Students for carrying out Practicals related to basics of electrical and electronics engineering such as types of wires, electronic components, digital multimeter, transformers and different circuits. It aims to provide engineering skills to students by the way of breadboard circuit design with electronics design and components. Lab is developed to boost students and faculties to enhance their knowledge regarding programming and development.

Hardware: Bread Boards, Wires, Transformers, Ammeters, Voltmeters, CRO, Digital Trainer Board, Digital IC’S.


Electronic Circuit Design/Linear Integrated Circuit/Network Analysis Lab :

This Laboratory is used by B.Tech Student for carrying out Practical’s related to basics of electrical and electronics engineering such as types of wires, electronic components,digital multimeter, transformers and different circuits. Also to provide engineering skills by the way of breadboard circuit design with electronics design and components to students. Lab is developed to boost students and faculties to enhance their knowledge regarding programming and development.

Digital Technique / Microcontroller / Microprocessor Lab :

This Laboratory is used by B.Tech Student for carrying out Practicals related to Digital Electronics lab-nomenclature of digital ICS, specifications ,study of the datasheet , concept of vcc and ground, verification of the truth tables of logic gates, Half Adder, full adder, different types of Flip-Flops,counters,8085,8086 microprocessor and 8051 ,PIC Microcontroller

Hardware: 8051 Universal Development Platform, PIC Microcontroller Development Board and ADC,DAC, stepper motor Interface.
Software (if applicable): Xilinx, Keil , Tutor-8085,8051


Communication Lab (Analog, Digital & Optical ):

It is used to demonstrate analog and digital communications systems and to analyze and design analog & digital electronic circuits. The concepts of all types of modulation & demodulation can be studied with its applications. It provides practical approach towards data transmission in optical communication for the students.

Hardware: DSB/SSB AM Transmitter, DSB/SSB AM Receiver, FM & PAM Modulation & Demodulation, PCM ,DPCM,PAM-TDM, ADM COMBO TRAINER KIT, ASK,FSK,PSK,DPSK,QPSK COMBO TRAINER KIT, Trainer kit for fiber optics communication, Optical Power Meter.
Software (if applicable): Matlab or Scilab


Control System Lab :

Control Systems laboratory has been set up to achieve the goal of providing realistic environment. This Lab makes the students of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering understand the practical aspect of control system- How a control system is used for controlling errors.

Hardware: Potentiometer as transducer and error detector, AC & DC position control system, feedback on control system, Multimeter and DSO

Microwave Engineering Lab :

A key part of the microwave laboratory is to experience how to use microwave test equipment to make measurements of power, frequency, S parameters, SWR, return loss, and insertion loss. Scattering parameters of microwave components are defined and used to characterize devices and system behaviour. The Microwave and Radio Frequency Communication laboratory is specialized in RF, Microwave and Antennas

Electronics Software Lab :

This laboratory is used to teach software programming skills and to undertake assignments on various software tools.
