The Research and Development (R&D) Cell at MIT College of Railway Engineering and Research, Barshi, is a vibrant and dynamic hub led by one Head and supported by four dedicated members from each department. The cell is actively addressing society's technical and non-technical demands by crafting impactful proposals and securing sanctions from reputed government agencies.

Our R&D Cell has several ongoing research proposals in the pipeline under esteemed government schemes such as ANRF, MSME and industry collaborations. These initiatives reflect our commitment to contributing to national and societal growth through meaningful research and innovation.

In addition to driving research, the R&D Cell regularly organizes Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and webinars to foster a robust research culture among the faculty. The cell also motivates faculty members from various disciplines to attend sessions on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and research methodologies at external institutes, enhancing their expertise and broadening their horizons.

To further encourage academic excellence, the R&D Cell offers incentives for publishing research papers, filing patents, and participating in prestigious conferences across India and internationally. These efforts inspire our faculty and students to lead with innovation and excellence in their respective fields.
