Head of Department

Welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering at MITCORER (Poly), Barshi. It gives me immense pleasure to introduce you to one of the core and most foundational branches of engineering at our institution
Civil Engineering is the backbone of infrastructural development and nation-building. From designing towering skyscrapers and robust transportation networks to developing sustainable water and environmental systems, civil engineers shape the physical world we live in. As society evolves, the demand for skilled, innovative, and environmentally conscious civil engineering professionals continues to grow rapidly.

In our polytechnic diploma program, we are deeply committed to bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and practical industry needs. Our curriculum provides rigorous hands-on training. With well-equipped laboratories, modern surveying equipments, regular industrial visits, and expert faculty, we ensure our students develop the strong technical competencies and problem-solving skills required on actual construction sites and in design offices.

Our ultimate goal is the holistic development of our students. Whether you aim to step directly into a dynamic career within the public or private infrastructure sectors, or aspire to pursue higher education (B.Tech/B.E.) through lateral entry, our department provides the perfect launchpad for your ambitions. We strive to produce not just capable technicians and junior engineers, but responsible professionals equipped to handle modern engineering challenges with integrity and safety in mind.

To all our current and prospective students, I wish you a highly successful, enriching, and rewarding academic journey.

Warm regards,

Prof. Pramol Prakash Waychal
Head of Department, Civil Engineering MITCORER (Poly), Barshi.
