Worked in Indian Railways for 36 years till superannuation in March 2006. worked in various capacities handling operations, training and information technology and served in several parts of the country. With regard to information technology, having entrusted with the responsibility of setting up an autonomous organization for development of computer system on railway, worked towards the creation of a Special Purpose Vehicle named Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS).

Later on, served as the Managing Director of CRIS.
Worked as a Technical Member of an All-India Tribunal from 2006 to 2008.
Worked as Advisor (System Integration) in L&T Infotech from 2008 to 2012 and assisted in setting up the domestic and government sector business.
Worked as Chief Operations and Maintenance and Training Expert for Chennai Metro Rail Project from 2013 to 2015.
Working as Intermittent Consultant from 2015 with Louis Berger Consulting Private Limited as Metro Systems Operations specialist for Hyderabad Metro Rail project
